There have been some sightings in the general area matching my dog, dirty, wet-looking, scared and almost been hit a couple times. He has a blue harnass on him. He was lost near Jade Coast and Camino Ruiz.
He JUST found his forever home last night and came home from the shelter. He was so s
cared and traumatized from the past that he was shaking and heavily panting in the car on the way home.
He bolted and is faster than his new family.
Since he's black, even with lots of driving around, he disappeared in the darkness.
He needs to be found as soon as possible due to medical issues.
He was just recently groomed. The top of his back shows some thinning.

This is a mystery which I'm hoping someone out there on Craigslist can help me solve. If you have any insight, please respond!
I've just adopted a young and playful Australian Cattle Dog from a local shelter. I'm going to keep it's sex and description co
nfidential.
It was found as a stray WAY in the North East County of San Diego, so it may have come from Riverside County as well.
No microchip, of course.
Here's the weird part... all of it's K9 teeth, and it's lower front teeth, are missing! They appear to have been surgically removed, and it's mouth is otherwise in perfect condition.
Sure, it's a nippy young cattle dog and it has high prey drive with my cat, chickens and goats... but I've never met a cattle dog worth it's salt that didn't! This is certainly no reason to remove it's teeth!
My vet tells me that it is actually the first dog she has ever seen with it's teeth removed like that (and she worked the Central Valley for years, so she has seen it all!). She also says that it would be highly unethical for a vet to do a surgery like this, so it's possible that it was done in Mexico, or maybe by some meth-head idiots locally, or the very slim chance that it was a congenital defect (sooner or later I'll probably do some mouth xrays to determine the actual tooth loss issue.)
Ok, so here is the next weird part of the story... the dog had just been spayed/neutered, with the sutures still in!
So a young cattle dog with no K9 teeth, just got fixed by a vet, manages to get picked up as a stray, but no one claims it at the shelter within 5 days? WTF!?!
Who would go to the trouble of fixing a sweet dog with such a disability, but not go desperately looking for it when it goes missing... especially a cattle dog with no teeth... it's not like it's going to be any problem finding a dog by that description!
On that same note, this has got to be a one-in-a-million dog... a young Cattle Dog, no Canine Teeth, recently fixed by a vet.... There has to be SOMEONE out there who knows something about this dog!
Look, I'm perfectly happy with this dog, and don't want to give it up.... it will have a great life with me, my pack and my outdoor lifestyle. I'd just like to find out the history/mystery on this dog, and if I wait for years to ask, I'll probably never find out the history of this dog.
Of course, on the slim chance that the previous owner has been desperately looking for their recently fixed, non-microchiped, toothless cattle dog and can sufficiently explain what appears to be highly unethical ownership behavior (and the failure to look for it at a County Shelter!) , I might be willing to transfer ownership upon the submission of a standard adoption questionnaire and a home visit. Again, I want to keep this dog, so if you are the previous owner, or know the previous owner, and they don't want the dog... all good with me... I'd just like to get as much background info on the dog for medical background issues (and as you might imagine, my own curiosity).
So, who has met or knows this young, friendly, toothless cattle dog of mine?
Please do not respond with questions regarding it's sex, or guesses regarding it's color, or requests for photos... they will be ignored and not responded to. It's really very simple... you either know this dog or you don't.
